A Brief History Of The Club
The club building was originally built in 1900 for the Long Eaton Institute Committee of the YMCA. Our band purchased the premises in 1928, and after converting the premises and building the games room extension, opened the club in 1929. The function room was added in 1982.
Today the club is run by a commitee elected by its members, whilst retaining close links with our founders, the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band, all of whose members are also members of the club.
