Licensing Act of 2003

Under the Licensing Act of 2003, the club holds its license on the basis of its adherance to our rules, and its promotion of the four Licensing Objectives defined in the Act:

Please note that no drinking (whether alcoholic or otherwise) is permitted outside the club. This applies whether the drinks were purchased within the club or not. Similarly, we cannot permit alcohol to be brought into the club.

Challenge 21 Policy

The club operates a strict “Challenge 21” policy for the purchase of alcohol. Any person who in the opinion of the bar staff looks to be under 21 years of age will need to supply proof that they are at least eighteen years of age. The only acceptable proofs are a passport, driving license (with a photograph), or a PASS accredited proof-of-age cardcard with the PASS hologram. Please note that is also illegal to purchase alcohol for consumption by an under eighteen year old.

Smoking

Under the Smoke-free (Premises and Enforcement) Regulations and Smoke-free (Signs) Regulations for England (2007), smoking is no longer permitted on the club premises (including the club doorway). A smoking shelter is provided in the club car park to the left as you exit the club. As mentioned above, smokers may not take their drinks outside with them.
